James
and Jason's Alabama Trip 9/14/2002
We
traveled up to Tuscaloosa (named after the words an elephant would
hate to hear if going to an Italian dentist) on Saturday, September
14th. This was Jason's first-ever college football game. Jason didn't
know that there were that many people in the world. He said that
there must have been at least "a couple thousand". Jason
had some kind of bug and wasn't up to par until kickoff. His entire
meal that day was popcorn. It was a long trip, one that I would
only want to take maybe once a year. Before the game started, we
had a light shower which cooled things off for the entire evening.
The game started at 6pm CST.
Here are some pictures:

Both the car and me and Jason were all dressed up and ready to go.
| Rain clouds approach.
The tuba section gave us a solo of "Rammer Jammer". |
The pep band performed on the Quad.

By gametime, the blue skies of Alabama rang true from the song "Sweet
Home Alabama".

The entire Million-Dollar Band performs before the game. | An early
field goal for Bama !!!

My son was truly enjoying his first Alabama football game !!!

We got a ground-level view of the half-time show.

Bryant-Denny Stadium was packed with Crimson and White.

With 33 points scored and an awesome defensive showing, these shakers
were busy all night !!!
All in all, it was a very good day !!!
Bama 33, UNT 7
A memory that will last a lifetime!
